"We want to expand the League's efforts to create an environment that is inclusive for the next generation of talent with partners like EA which offer not only the opportunity for youth to compete, but also an opportunity to get a better understanding of the business of football by gaining practical knowledge and shadowing."

The 16 finalists are scheduled to visit the NFL's West Coast studios in Los Angeles as well as participate on an "experienceship" through the experience of spending time with EA workers from various departments.

"We are thrilled to collaborate with the NFL on this incredibly important project to capture the joy of playing among HBCU students," GCN CMO Chris Kindt stated. "We believe that our team with strong roots in esports as well as gaming will put on an amazing tournament capped off by the thrill of competing during Super Bowl LVI."
